DIY cherry pitterPosted: July 17, 2010
I know that cherry pitters are worth their weight in gold! Getting the pits out of cherries is messy and time consuming work. That really does make cherries the pits.
However, I don’t really like the concept of paying alot of money for something that can only be use for a certain task, and even worse a certain time of the year. Cherry season is short! And $13 can go a long way, especially when you’re cheap.
I set out to find out if there was a way to make a suitable cherry pitter, and I actually found more than a few good instructions. This one is the best one to me. Doesn’t take long at all to make, and doesn’t make a mess! DIY Life has some other ideas, although things get a little more messy!
